How are you decorating your spaces for Christmas? If you are super busy and have not much time, no ideas of how to, even if you are broke, I have 2 simple DIY project that gave you no excuse of not decorating your spaces. It is so easy and fun to make, even it’s so close to Christmas now, you’ll still have time to make this.
The materials that you’ll need in this project are just :
- Some dry twigs. (you could pick up anywhere) – no cost
- A bottle of spray paint. (white) – about USD4
- Small Christmas balls. – Under USD1
- Some threads.
- Christmas ornaments of your own choice.- Under USD1
Sometimes, I consider myself a ‘waste’ collector. I collect dry flowers, leaves, twigs and branches. They are mainly use as props in my photography and they always turn out well in my pictures. I did buy those pine cones and they come with wires which I could just attach them to the twigs later.
You would want to take this project outside as spray painting could stained your flooring. I laid those twigs on a piece of papers and begun spray painting them into beautiful snowy white. Do hold the spray paint bottle about a feet away from the objects as this will prevent forming of paint blotches.
I did go back 2nd round of spray painting on the other side of my ornaments after 30 minutes. If it doesn’t reach your desire effect, you could always go back after 30 minutes before adding another layer.
Tada…….! And this is how it looks like at the end of project. I used gold Christmas balls to decorate as it matches the color of my space. You could always choose another color, I think rose gold will look equally good too. If you are going to use a tiny vase like mine, place some pebbles in the vase that it has sufficient weight to hold the decor down and not falling to the side.
Ready to add more sparkles and lift up the festive spirits?? Here’s another simple idea.
Just simply string up some Christmas balls or ornaments. Hang them wherever you could in your space, on the wall hanger, on your bed frame, on your wall key-holder? Imagination is the limit 😀
As I like plenty of negative spaces in my room, I just keep decoration to the minimal. You could always do more 😀
And this is it….! Christmas decoration done. Super easy, quick and elegant! Hope you like this projects and let me know if you ever tried out. I’ll be happy to see you leaving a comment below. 🙂
Have a wonderful, peaceful and blessed Christmas ahead!!
